Vintage 1960s Holkham pottery, Norfolk, commerative plate

Produced by Holkham in conjunction with Lidor Ltd., Purley for W.H. Smith & Son Ltd., who were a retailer. The plate was one of a series made for the Shakespeare Centenary Exhibition 1564 to 1964.

This commerative plate shows the Elizabethan explorer, writer, soldier, statesman and one of Queen Elizabeth I favourites Sir Walter Raleigh.
